General View

Unibanco is one of the largest Brazilian privately owned
banks, with more than 80 years of history and activity
in the market. The Bank is present in every segment of
the financial market, offering a broad and complete range
of services to a diversified customer base.

Unibanco continues to improve its results. Such improvement took place in an environment of efficient management, where the decision-making processes are responsive. Unibanco also seeks for synergies, which allow business growth, process improvements, strict budgetary discipline, and more efficient communication.

Business Segmentation

Unibanco's mix of businesses is balanced among four main segments: Retail, Wholesale, Insurance and Pensions and Wealth Management. It has established itself with a solid market position in all of these business areas.

Besides being a benchmark of excellence in the Wholesale businesses, Unibanco has also assumed great positions in the Retail Business in Brazil, through Unibanco's brand and its subsidiary companies such as Hipercard, Unicard and Fininvest.

In the Insurance and Pensions segment, Unibanco created, in 1997, a partnership with AIG, one of the world's largest companies in this industry. The Wealth Management segment offers investment products through Unibanco Asset Management (UAM) for major investors.
